A Study on the Rural Governance Transformation
in Beijing, China

 

The primary purpose of this project is to examine the institutional complexities of rural governance in the specific political and social context of capital city. In order to achieve this objective, this project focuses on examining four interrelated issues in community governance: party leadership, the role played by grassroots government, the mechanisms of market and the functions of community.
