In Beijing Lugouqiao Township, a Reading Club was established in November 2016. A wide range of participants from the grassroots government and the community are encouraged to participate in the club. By 2018, club members have expanded from about 40 to more than 100. In 2017, the Reading Club focused on understanding the transformation of rural villages and advocated “reading a book every month”. In 2018, the book club focuses on “elevating the spirit and strengthening cultural self-confidence” and intends to set up a reading club in each community.

北京市卢沟桥乡的读书会于2016年11月成立。读书会的成员来自基层政府和各个社区。截至2018年，读书会成员已从40余人发展到100多人。2017年，卢沟桥乡读书会主要关注 “农村发展与变迁”，倡导“每月共读一本书”。2018年读书会以“提升个人素养、树立文化自信”为主题，同时计划在每个社区成立读书分会。
